Primaquine should be stored at room temperature in a tightly closed container, away from moisture and heat. Keep this and all other medications out of the reach of children.
What Should I Do If I Miss a Dose?
If you forget to take a dose of primaquine, take it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, simply skip the missed dose, and continue with your regular dosing schedule. Do not take two doses of this medication at the same time.
Primaquine is available in one strength and form -- primaquine phosphate 26.3 mg. The primaquine dose is sometimes stated in terms of the primaquine base, which is the strength without the phosphate. Primaquine phosphate 26.3 mg is the same as 15 mg of primaquine base.
