Brand-name chloroquine is made by sanofi-aventis U.S. Generic versions are made by Global Pharmaceuticals, Inc., and West-Ward Pharmaceutical Corp.
 

Available Strengths

Brand-name chloroquine is available in one strength: Chloroquine 500 mg tablets. Generic versions are available as Chloroquine phosphate 250 mg tablets and Chloroquine phosphate 500 mg tablets. Sometimes the strength of this medication is stated in different terms; 500 mg of chloroquine phosphate, for example, is equivalent to 300 mg of chloroquine (without the phosphate).
