Were you looking for information about Hydroxychloroquine? Hydroxycloroquine is a common misspelling of hydroxychloroquine.

Hydroxychloroquine sulfate (Plaquenil®) is a medication that is often prescribed to treat and prevent malaria. It works by entering red blood cells, entering the bacteria, and interfering with the internal functions of the bacteria. The drug can also be used to treat rheumatoid arthritis and lupus by limiting the immune system reactions that cause these diseases. Hydroxychloroquine comes in tablet form and is taken either once a week (for malaria prevention) or once or twice daily (for other uses).
