If you have uncomplicated (or mild) malaria, you may benefit from the prescription medication Coartem® (artemether/lumefantrine). Available in tablet form, this medicine is typically taken twice a day for three days. It works by killing the parasite that causes the malaria blood infection. Possible side effects include dizziness, nausea, and headaches.
